Finally a local giveaway I can enter! 🙂 Our favourite tradition is to snuggle up with our kids and watch movies all day. They’re currently at an excellent age where we can watch several Harry Potters or Lord of the Rings. Popcorn, hot chocolate and leftover pie all around.

Ooohh this is a tough one! A Christmas eve tipple in the Westbury to celebrate the end of Christmas shopping. Or, on Christmas morning, a brisk family and doggie walk on the beach followed by a steaming bowl of Mum’s seafood chowder.

How lovely are these, thank you for sharing them, Emily! They would look great on a tree. My favourite tradition is watching It’s A Wonderful Life and drinking peppermint hot chocolate… we also go over to my neighbours house every year for Christmas Eve for their 7 fishes dinner (they’re Italian) before the craziness of Christmas ensues.

my favorite tradition is baking cookies with my kids, making big messes and listening to endless Christmas music. Having recently moved to the Dublin area from the States I am loving all the new Irish traditions and introducing them to my kids! Can’t wait to break out the Christmas Crackers , wear our Christmas jumpers, and I (very much) enjoy the lovely mulled wine!

Lovely ornaments! I love an Irish tradition that is seen less these days and that is leaving a lighted candle in the window on Christmas Eve, in case the Holy Family should chance to come your way. Electric candles just aren’t the same, although they may be safer!

Eating leftover cold cuts with lots of cheese and chutney late into the night whilst watching Home Alone in snuggly pyjamas xx

Hard to pick just one favourite but I love going into town with the family on Christmas eve day, running into people we know, catching the buzz, and maybe if we’re lucky, catching Bono busking on Grafton Street!

Going to see the Susquehanna Ballet Co perform the Nutcracker with all the girls in the family. We’ve been going since I was in Kindergarten, so we’re well on 25+ years!

OOOooh! Favourite holiday tradition. There are so many! Bewleys breakfast on Christmas Eve with the family is a particular one. But I loooove trimming the tree. I buy a Christmas decoration whenever I travel, and have done for years so trimming the tree becomes a nostalgic walk down memory lane, remembering adventures past, friends old and new, and conjures the magic of the new years and what travels might lie ahead bringing new experiences and new decorations for next years tree!
