Oh, I’d have to add ‘I Went Down’ and ‘Once’. And drama, lots of drama: ‘Hunger’, ‘The Field’, ‘The Crying Game’, ‘In The Name of the Father’, ‘My Left Foot’ (I’m giving away my age here!)

The Wind that Shakes the Barley – a good film to learn a bit about Irish Independence. But my favorite is probably Ondine – just dreamy, mysterious, a bit mythical – set on the west coast I believe.
I’ve never heard of Ondine. My movie list is getting very long!
my favorite irish films are a toss up between waking ned devine & once. waking ned devine is hysterical, while i love once for the beautiful music & bittersweet theme.
I can’t believe I forgot Waking Ned Devine! Such a great movie, I think I will watch it again this weekend! Thanks for reminding me 🙂
