Tea Cosy Giveaway!

April 22, 2015

tea-cosy-giveaway

I’ve been doing some serious spring cleaning this week and I happened upon a stash of awesome goodies from various events that I’ve been hoarding over the last year or so. As it turns out, I don’t need ten notebooks and an extra four bars of beautiful soap, so I thought I’d do a few giveaways!

First up, this sweet sheep tea cosy by designer Ursula Celano. Leave a comment on this post and tell me your favorite cosy beverage you love to sip (you won’t be penalized if it’s not tea!). I’ll choose a winner at random on Monday and have it out in the mail to you straight away! Teacup and saucer not included.

Good luck!

My favorite cosy beverage is tea! After traveling in Europe (and several times to my beloved Ireland) tea reminds me of a world away. A tradition I have kept going here – even though we all know you guys do it better than Americans 🙂

Clement and Pekoe’s Breakfast Blend #1! So delicious, and it reminds me of my visit to their lovely shop. Just realized most of my shopping in Ireland was either books or tea:)

      Not a bad combination, Mary!

Cosy drink: coffee. Festive drink: coffee. Summertime drink: coffee. Winter drink: coffee. After dinner drink: coffee. First thing in the morning drink: coffee. –are we noticing a theme here? Although I really do try to limit myself to that first cup in the morning, I really feel that Guinness cannot take the sole title for the wonderful Black Stuff. Ha!

Ha! Someone missing their coffee much? 😉

Oh! Favourite cosy drink has got to be a hot chocolate! I am very partial to a Butlers, but my absolute favourite HC experience is from a recent trip to Paris- I have never tasted anything so good in life!

What a wonderful cosy to keep your Lyon’s warm!

My favorite cosy beverage is tea. I will be traveling to Ireland in June and I loved your post about tea shops in Dublin.

Ooh for me the ultimate cosy drink is a steaming mug of hot Horlicks milk with a spoon or two of sugar! Guaranteed to get you ready for a great night’s sleep!

I visited Ireland in 2012 with my family. I have always been a tea drinker, but after three weeks of Irish breakfasts with tea I became a every morning tea drinker with sugar and cream added. I discovered, while in Ireland, Lemon Ginger tea, which is now my favorite cosy beverage!

My favourite brew is a ‘cup of cha’. Barry’s best of course! A full pot – none of this individuals cup stuff. A full pot, friends, scones fresh out of the oven and good Irish butter. Heaven!

PS- don’t have a cosy at the moment but that would go beautifully with my recently painted kitchen!

    Absolute favorite is Lyon’s!

It is indeed tea! Barry’s, nice and strong, it soothes the soul

    • Reply emily April 28, 2015 at 8:58 am

I think we have a nice little Barry’s vs. Lyon’s debate going on here! 😉

So sweet! It would keep a pot of Teapigs Chamomile nice and toasty for me 🙂

    • Reply emily April 28, 2015 at 8:58 am

Those little teapigs pods are so cute!

Has to be homemade indian chai for me. Made on milk and boiled up in a pan, desi style. P.S Delhi O’Deli on Moore St make the best if you’re out and about.

Oh, that’s a great tip! I will have to bring my sister-in-law she is a die-hard chai fan!

Oh my favorite drink has always been hot chocolate with cheese (typical in Colombia, South America). That was my favorite drink until we visited Ireland and I had to buy a box of the Barry Gold Tea to bring back home. I was so thrilled to find out Amazon carries it so I’ve been lucky enough to keep drinking my Barry’s gold tea everyday 😉

    Keeping my fingers crossed 😉

Hot chocolate with cheese?! Interesting, I’ve never heard of that!

      • Reply Catalina Bohorquez April 30, 2015 at 4:25 pm

Yeah you make the hot chocolate and take little pieces of cheese and you drop them in the hot chocolate so they become chewy. You then use a spoon to fish them out and enjoy – kind of like marshmallows but a different taste 😉

Apple Loves Mint Suki Tea from St George’s Market Belfast.

Can’t beat a good cup of Lyons but I love to sit with a cup of heath and Heather lemon and ginger tea when I get a moment to myself. It takes me right back to the early stages of my pregnancy when I drank it by the bucket for nausea! Now it brings back sweet memories of little kicks and flutters!

  • Reply Fiona Darcy April 27, 2015 at 1:44 pm

Nothing beats a cup of Lyons tea, it will always be my favourite but pregnancy does funny things to my taste buds ???? I’m not normally a fan of hot chocolate but this pregnancy has given me a serious hot chocolate craving….yum!
